Thank you for visiting web site of the Korean Society for Agricultural Machinery.
Established in 1976, the Korean Society for Agricultural Machinery(KSAM) is a professional scientific organization for teachers, researchers, engineers and administrators working for teaching, research, manufacturing and policy making at agricultural machinery-related education and research institutes, industries, and government offices.

Since early 90's all scientific disciplines have been forced to change and faced new challenges. Their traditional areas have been expanded into other areas. Their boundaries have been blurred. An age of the fusion academia has come. Such a change was unavoidable to advance for the new age. Over the past years, agricultural machinery engineering has also expanded its unique area into those of biology and environment, which brought new words like Biosystems and Machinery for Bio-industry into the name of agricultural machinery engineering departments in many colleges. Agricultural machinery engineering is on its way to breed a new discipline and create a related industry. It is a duty of our society and members to establish uniqueness of our new discipline and promote the related industries. In addition, we should not forget that it is also our duty to maintain and strengthen the traditional area of agricultural machinery engineering. Our members should step forward to help solve the problems that agricultural production and agricultural machinery industries are facing now.

The Korean Society for Agricultural Machinery will endeavor to provide forums of knowledge and information exchanges for strengthening education, research, and technology development of our academic field and agricultural machinery industry as well. We will organize more academic and technical seminars, and also establish a technical consulting group to help the industries.

I want to thank all the member of the Korean Society for Agricultural Machinery for the great honor of electing me to the 19th President of the Society. As a president, I realize clearly the weight of responsibility placed on me in this hard time that our profession should get through. I pledge my best efforts to continue the best works and functions of our organization. I will also try to maintain the fine tradition, success and honor of the Korean Society for Agricultural Machinery that all my predecessors have accomplished.
